Are you in Good Hands?

April 16, 2011

Last week, with a lot of last minute drama, Congress passed legislation to “cut spending by $38.5 billion (with a B) dollars”.  This week, the congressional budget office published their report on the cuts and by their math, spending will only be reduced by $352 million (with a M) from 2010 levels.

We only need to do this twice each year and that $14 trillion (with a T) dollar deficit will be completely wiped out in a mere 20,000 (that’s right, read it and weep, thousands) years.  Thank you, Congress.  My retirement money is finally safe.
